Rise in the Cost of Gasoline

Kuujjuaq, Québec, September 6, 2018 – The price of gasoline set by Nunavik’s fuel distributors has risen on September 1st, from $1.79 per litre to $2.03 per litre in all Nunavik communities. The contribution of the Kativik Regional Government and Makivik Corporation, through the Gasoline Subsidy Program, remains at 40¢ per litre, reducing the price to $1.63 per litre for beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA).
