Administration Department
The main objective of the Administration Department is to deliver support to all of the KRG’s other departments, as well as to the organization’s elected Council and Executive Committee. Specifically, the Assets Management and Maintenance Section maintain all the vehicles and buildings owned and operated by the KRG and childcare centres in all the Northern villages. For its part, the Procurement Section handles the negotiation and logistics of purchases and inventory, including sealift orders, as well as travel arrangements for the organization and its employees. These activities are carried out in accordance with the Act respecting Northern Villages and the Kativik Regional Government and other applicable legislation. The Communications Section is responsible for all of the KRG’s internal and external communications, including media and public relations as well as translation and reception services.

The Information Technology Section provides leading edge telecommunication support for more than 300 users and maintains over 400 networking devices in the KRG. The Section also maintains and regularly updates the websites: www.krg.ca, www.nunavik.ca and www.tamaani.ca. In addition, Tamaani Nunavik Wireless Internet provides public Internet access and support in every Nunavik community and has over 1150 business and residential customers.
