Food Program
The Food Program ensures lower prices for consumers on commonly purchased basic food and household items in Nunavik stores. A 20% discount is applicable on eligible items, including:
- milk, butter and eggs;
- onions and potatoes;
- baking powder, flour, pastas and rice;
- diapers, washing detergent and toilet paper.
Participating stores include local cooperative and Northern stores, plus Newviq’vi in Kuujjuaq. Look for specially marked shelf cards on display with eligible products, or speak to your local store manager for more details. The Food Program generates weekly savings for households ranging between $22 and $43, depending on the products purchased.
