Airfare Reduction Program
The Airfare Reduction Program ensures rebates for Nunavimmiut when they travel between the region’s communities or to southern Québec. All types of personal and compassionate travel are now covered. Since 2008, JBNQA beneficiaries living outside of the region are eligible under the Program for their return travel to Nunavik. Under the Airfare Reduction Program, 50% of the cost of an airline ticket purchased for personal and compassionate travel is refundable directly to the eligible applicant, up to a maximum amount of $1500 annually.
