General Information

The Finance Department is responsible for carrying out the KRG’s day-to-day accounting activities and for ensuring the KRG’s sound financial management. To this end, it meticulously implements financial management procedures and internal control measures and constantly monitors their effectiveness.

The Department is also responsible for the preparation and management of the KRG’s overall budget, bond issues and capital project expenditures, and it includes the KRG Human Resources Section and a payroll service.
