Municipal Technical Assistance

Pursuant to the Technical Assistance Program provided for under the Agreement concerning Block Funding for the Kativik Regional Government (Sivunirmut Agreement), the KRG ensures the delivery of assistance and training to Northern village personnel in order to improve knowledge in fields that are relevant to municipal activities and increase the autonomy of the Northern villages. The Program comprises four components: legal affairs, management and municipal accounting, land use planning and development of the territory, as well as engineering. The Department is responsible for the first two components.
