Local Development

Under the Agreement concerning Block Funding for the Kativik Regional Government (Sivunirmut Agreement), the Department is responsible for operating the Kativik Local Development Centre (KLDC). The KLDC is an essential tool for promoting local development by socially oriented individuals and small groups. Initiatives do not focus on profits, but rather on responding to specific community needs.
