Marine Infrastructure

Under the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA), the Canadian and Québec governments made a commitment to improve marine infrastructure in Nunavik. Between 1999 and 2010, the KRG coordinated major marine infrastructure construction projects in every community. In 2008, the Transportation Department was given responsibility for planning and coordinating regular maintenance work required for all community marine infrastructure.
