Tamaani Nunavik Wireless Internet
The Northern Indigenous Community Satellite Network (NICSN) is a partnership between the KRG and two First Nations groups based in northern Ontario and northern Manitoba (Keewaytinook Okimakanak and the Keewatin Tribal Council, respectively). Through the NICSN, Tamaani is able to deliver wireless Internet services in all 14 communities of Nunavik. Its customers include over 150 different businesses and organizations with 250 points of service, the KRG with 49 points of service, the Kativik School Board with over 42 points of service, and over 1800 residential subscribers.With its professional-grade equipment installed in all the Northern villages, Tamaani also provides videoconferencing services.
