The KRG remains committed to providing reliable Internet and videoconferencing services in all 14 communities. Tamaani has front-line workers in every community and it services more than 2 300 residential modems as well as over 500 corporate and organizational points of service for customers that include the KRG and the Kativik Regional Police Force, the Kativik School Board, municipalities and landholding corporations, the Sûreté du Québec, the Federation of Cooperatives of Northern Québec, Air Inuit, as well as the Nunavik Regional Board of Health Social Services and the Ministère de la Justice through the Centre des services partagés du Québec (shared services). To deliver its services, Tamaani Internet partners with northern Ontario’s Keewaytinook Okimakanak and northern Manitoba’s Keewatin Tribal Council through the Northern Indigenous Community Satellite Network.
